The villages of Boabeng and Fiema have always
firmly
believed in working towards the development
of their
communities. In the past they have constructed
schools,
dug boreholes, and helped promote the general welfare
of the two villages among other
things. As part of their
commitment to development, Boabeng-
Fiema founded
the Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary. The
Sanctuary
exists to promote poverty alleviation and development
in the villages. Part of the proceeds from the sanctuary
goes into
village community projects. In addition, the
Boabeng-Fiema
Monkey Sanctuary seeks assistance
from any quarter to aid in
the growth and improvement
of the two communities.
